The program I have chosen to share with everyone has to do
with the fun side of college. College parties have to have music, it makes the
get together more enjoyable for everyone. The program Virtual DJ (VDJ) gives
anybody the ability to easily learn the skills to becoming a dj for any party.
The software is easy to use and can be downloaded directly to any laptop for
maximum portability. VDJ allows a very simple way to blend songs together and
create your own mashups and keep the party going with out having the annoyance
of having to select another song and wait for the song to start playing. VDJ
also provides a tutorial for quick learning for any beginner. It will teach you
how to seamlessly transition from song to song, add sound effects, and record
your own mixes to share with your friends. When I attended Bloomsburg
University I was a dj for my fraternity and played on a regular basis for
parties and bars. I think that with the popularity of electronic dance music
increasing into mainstream, people are interested in learning how djs perform
and create a fun environment during a concert. There are a few different types
of the program. The one I am recommending is the VDJ Free, which has all the
necessary components for someone to start and perform at any venue. Now when
someone becomes more experienced and want to further their djing skills, VDJ
has upgradable programs for purchase. I myself being a poor college student,
uprgrading to VDJ 8 is almost out of reach. They full VDJ 8 program has a one
time payment of $299 which is very costly but luckily VDJ 8 can also be
purchased through a subscription of $19 a month. This is very affordable and
can be purchased at anytime and canceled at anytime. So someone can use it when
they need to and not have reoccurring payments.
